MG Philippines announced that for the third consecutive year, it will be the official mobility partner of the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH).
The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) shared in a statement that the “indelible partnership” started in 2020 that is driven by the “goal of championing the empowered and modern Filipino woman.”
Just like in the in previous years, the winner of Miss Universe PH 2022 will go home not just with the crown but a slew of prizes that include a MG ZS Alpha sport utility vehicle.
TCCCI expressed firm confidence that the MG ZS Alpha, which “has been well received by the general motoring public,” will truly enjoy the British heritage crossover.
Powering the MG ZS Alpha is a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated power mill that produces 114 horses and 150Nm torque.
The vehicle also comes an eight-inch LCD infotainment unit equipped with Apple Carplay, a push start/stop button, a multi-function steering wheel; a host of modern driving aids such as reverse camera, antilock braking system, cornering brake control, electronic brake assist, electronic brakeforce distribution, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring system, traction control system; and as well as panoramic “Stargazer” sunroof.
Moreover, the company cited that a special award will be named after the brand will be given one of the contestants in the contest. “She will be recognized for her extraordinary qualities, and for how she has crossed over and above expectations in exhibiting her unique beauty and character,” Morris Garages’ local distributor noted.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night will be held on April 30, 2022, at the Mall of Asia Arena. The program will be streamed live on ABS-CBN via iWantTFC, YouTube, and The Filipino Channel on the same day, with a delayed telecast on GMA Network the following morning (May 1).
