Morris Garages (MG) Philippines has launched the latest iteration of the ZS crossover.
According to the local arm of the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation-owned British car brand, the 2024 MG ZS boasts improved aesthetics as well as new advanced driver-assist features that its would-be owners will appreciate.
At the fore, the 2024 MG ZS wears a redesigned bumper complemented by the new Obsidian Matrix Grille. Flanking the new latticework are LED projector headlamps with Snake-light daytime running lights.
Its side profile is highlighted by a set of 17-inch two-tone Tomahawk-design wheels, black wheel arches and door trims, as well as brushed aluminum roof rails.
On its back are standard LED tail lamps, a pair of reflectors at the lower rear bumper, and the MG emblem that acts as the lever to open the rear hatch.
Inside the 2024 MG ZS is a flat-bottom, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with perforated sections and red stitching. Past it is a digital instrument cluster accompanied by a floating 10-inch infotainment screen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
The seats, shifter boot, and center armrest, are also covered in decent-quality leather. Several red accents can also be found on the center console, door trims, front seats, and air conditioning vents, which adds character to the 2024 MG ZS’ interior.
The 2024 MG ZS is equipped with new advanced driver-assist technologies such as an electric parking brake with auto brake hold and intelligent fog lamp. The range-topping model of the updated crossover also gets a 360-degree camera to help drivers better navigate tight parking spots.
Powering the 2024 MG ZS is the familiar 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine found on the existing models. It produces 112 horsepower with 150 Newton-meters of torque.
The powerplant is mated to a continuously variable transmission with tiptronic function.
“The MG ZS is our certified best-seller among Filipino motorists, which is why we are making the best even better with the New ZS. We hope that those who have yet to experience MG’s best compact SUV on the market today get to find out the reason for themselves when they try the New ZS,” MG Philippines President Felix Jiang said.
MG Philippines is offering the 2024 ZS in two variants: Comfort and Luxury. They are priced at P918,888 and P1.088 million, respectively.
It will be sold alongside the current MG ZS lineup, which comes in Style and Alpha trims. The existing roster has a price tag that ranges from P848,888-PP1.048 million.
