MIAS 2019: GAC Motors Unveils Four of Its Popular Models
Legado Motors, Inc. (LMI), the exclusive distributor of GAC Motors in the Philippines, is showing off its four models--the GA4 sedan, GS4 subcompact SUV, GM8 executive seven-seater minivan, and GS8 full-size SUV--at the 2019 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).
LMI, which is headed by former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, is known for its five-star safety ratings. It's ranked number one among Chinese brands by J.D. Power Asia Pacific China Initial Quality Study (IQS) for six consecutive years now (2013 to 2018). This IQS evaluates for vehicle quality, and recognizes top-performing brands and products in the Chinese market today.
JAC's SUVs have also received awards from other prestigious industries like Yahoo, Forbes, and the New York Times. Its GS4 model was awarded Yahoo Finance’s "Innovation For The Future" in 2015, while the GS7, its five-seater midsize SUV, was awarded "Impressive Worldwide Debut: GS7 SUV" by Forbes and "A New Generation Blockbuster SUV" by The New York Times.
Present in the event were Chavit Singson, entertainment personalities like Yam Concepcion, and some famous society and political faces in the country today. They also posed for pictures with guests and media following a dance number from GAC's dancers.
