MIAS 2022: Changan PH wows crowd with four-vehicle lineup

Fe Perez-Agudo.
Audiences were wowed by the stunningly stylish appeal of the new CS35 Plus with its obsidian-inspired grille, split LED automatic headlamps with DRLs, as well as its LED streamlined taillamps. It rides with 18-inch alloy wheels and boasts dual stainless-steel exhaust pipes.
Convenience and entertainment features found in the subcompact SUV include the engine remote start, a 10-inch multi-media touch display, a quieter cabin thanks to the Deep Sea Silence Technology, a panoramic sunroof, and a power tailgate.
The CS35 Plus also comes with safety features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking with front collision warning, a panoramic camera, a six-airbag system, and an ultra-high-strength body among others.
On the other hand, the CS75 Plus offers a more sophisticated look compared to the beefy CS35 Plus. It drew the crowd in with its impressive cabin luxuries like its seven-inch digital instrument cluster and 12-inch infotainment system. It also has a panoramic sunroof and posh leather seats.
Like the abovementioned CS35 Plus, the CS75 Plus packs a suite of safety features with six airbags, hill descent control, hill hold control, a 360-degree panoramic camera, reverse parking sensors, and an electronic parking brake.
It also offers a spirited drive with its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Meanwhile, the Alsvin attracted an audience who are looking for an affordable yet unusual sedan.
At the fore is a handsome butterfly-wing grille flanked by projector headlamps with DRLs. It also comes with a sunroof which is pretty uncommon for cars in the segment, especially at this price point. The cabin does not disappoint either, thanks to its impressive head and legroom as well as its seven-inch infotainment system.
Families will feel safe with its safety features which include dual airbags, a reverse camera, a blind-spot monitor, hill hold control, and electronic stability control.
Lastly, Changan offered attendees a taste of the future of Philippine mobility with the Eado EV460.
The electrified sedan is powered by an electric motor that delivers an impressive range of around 430 to 550 kilometers on a single charge. Its battery, per Changan, can be charged from zero to 80 percent in less than an hour.
Other features of the Eado EV460 include plush leather seats, cruise control, an LED digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch infotainment system, and a sunroof.
Its range of safety features include a six-airbag system, electronic stability control, brake assist, traction control system, hill hold control, a reverse camera, ISOFIX tethers, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The four-car crew is on display at the Changan Pavillion at MIAS in World Trade Center Manila from April 7 to 10, 2022.
