Chery comes to the 2022 Manila International Auto Show with a brand-new sport utility vehicle that is sure to turn the heads of those looking into the future of mobility.
The local arm of the Wuhu-based carmaker has unveiled the Tiggo 8 Pro, which comes in two variantss: a 1.6-liter gasoline-powered model and a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle with a 1.5-liter TCI engine and dual permanent magnet synchronous motors.
While both crossovers look identical at a glance, the PHEV variant offers a more economic means of moving from point A to B. Its battery, per Chery, reaches a full charge in three hours allowing the plug-in hybrid SUV to offer a pure electric range of about 95km.

Interior amenities include a luxurious soft-touch dashboard, black interior trims, multi-colored ambient lighting, and faux leather seats with double stitching and trims.
It also comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system which sends the audio to eight speakers lined within the cabin.
In terms of safety, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro boasts features such as ABS, an electronic stability program, brake assist, a brake override system, hill assist control, EBD, hill descent control, cruise control, reverse radar, and a tire pressure monitor among others.
The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro retails for about P1.645 million while the PHEV variant is priced at P2.4 million.
