  • Through an experiential setup at the booth, the Japanese automotive brand showed booth visitors how its electric motor propels its offerings in a very efficient manner.

Per Nissan, the e-Power system — which is currently available through the Nissan Kicks — acts as a bridge between traditional internal combustion vehicles and full electric vehicles. This dispels range anxiety in today’s setting and at the same time, allows customers to experience the future of mobility.

The electric-motor driven powertrain gets its charge from an efficient gasoline mill, resulting to an EV-like performance that is powerful, smooth, and quiet without the need for external charging.

It can be recalled that the Nissan Kicks e-Power was unveiled in the country in August last year.

Further, Nissan Philippines also gave a preview of its upcoming Car Connected Services (CCS) platform. The forthcoming offering lets Nissan vehicle owners to control and monitor their vehicles using their smartphones.

“This year’s MIAS theme, Shaping Mobility, resonates with Nissan as a brand because this is fully aligned with our Ambition 2030. We aim to create technologies and innovations that have an impact in the automotive sector and empower mobility. We have recently done this with our e-POWER technology which continues to break barriers in electrified mobility. We are very proud of e-POWER, and we are happy that the market fully accepts it. We are also excited to talk about our CCS technology, and we believe this is an important feature that will change the way we relate with our cars,” Nissan Philippines President Juan Miguel Hoyos shared.

Moreover, other Nissan offerings like the Navara, Terra Sport, and Patrol are also display at the venue.

The Manila International Auto Show will be held up to April 16 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
