MIAS 2025: What to expect
MANILA: The 20th edition of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) kicks off today. The annual automotive expo has usually been the venue where manufacturers launch new models and offer exciting deals, so here are some of the things attendees can expect from this year’s event.

Changan’s 4-car presentation
This year, Changan Cars Philippines — under the stewardship of Inchcape Philippines — is expected to showcase four new-energy vehicles at MIAS 2025.
Per the local arm of the Chinese carmaker, the said models will fall under the below categories:
- Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle
- Range-extended electric vehicle
- Battery-electric vehicle
Further, three out of the four models to be revealed will be under the Changan 101 sub-brand, which is the marque’s family of mid-range electric cars.
Jetour T2 Panda
Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated will display the Panda version of its popular T2 sport utility vehicle.
To recall, Zigwheels Philippines reported not too long ago that the United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI)-led brand displayed the vehicle during the opening of its Quezon Avenue dealership.
BYD eMAX 7
BYD Cars Philippines — through the leadership of the Ayala-owned ACMobility — will be launching the eMAX 7 multi-purpose vehicle (known as the M6 in other markets) at MIAS 2025.
Recently, the Land Transportation Office made public the homologation papers of the electric family vehicle. Full specifications are to be revealed once the nameplate makes its official debut.
GWM PH’s 1-2 punch
Great Wall Motor (GWM) Philippines earlier this month gave members of the motoring media a sneak peek of the two vehicles that the company will bring to today’s motor expo.
These are the latest iteration of the GWM Cannon and the all-new Haval H9. The former will be launched today while the latter will be launched later this year.
Chery Tiggo Cross
Jetour is not the only brand under UAAGI in the show. Chery Auto Philippines will also be present with the Tiggo Cross.
Per the brand, the crossover will be priced under P1 million and is expected to be a “true game-changer” in the local market.
Next-gen Suzuki Dzire
The Suzuki Dzire has been in the brand’s Philippine roster for some time now. And like many enthusiasts, others will agree that the compact hatchback is due for an update.
On that note, Suzuki Philippines Incorporated’s automobile arm may be launching the next-generation Dzire at MIAS 2025.
QSJ Motors to raffle off Bestune Pony
QSJ Motors, the official distributor of Bestune, Seres, Aito, and DFSK cars in the Philippines, will raffle off a Pony electric hatchback at the auto show.
The draw will take place at 7 p.m. on April 13, 2025.
MIAS 2025
MIAS 2025 is scheduled to run until Sunday, April 13, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
