Mild-hybrid Suzuki Alto released in Japan
Suzuki has recently released the ninth-generation of the Alto in its home country. This replaces the eighth version of the Japanese kei car, which has been around since 2014.

Aside from the looks, the all-new Suzuki Alto is equipped with mild-hybrid technology.The overall look of the newest Suzuki Alto retained its boxy exterior but now sports a rounded design that will distinguish it from the previous generation.
For its front fascia, the ninth-generation Alto features a chrome bar flanked by trapezoidal headlights, a small inlet just below the logo. The hood, bumper and grille design dropped the pointed edges. The rear features a new bumper, tailgate and an upright tail light design.
Equipped in the latest iteration of the Suzuki Alto is a 660cc three-cylinder engine that has a mild-hybrid system, thanks to its integrated starter generator (ISG) and a small lithium-ion battery pack to store energy. Based on the photo in its website, ninth-generation Suzuki Alto is fitted with an automatic transmission.
Locally, Suzuki Philippines has discontinued selling the third-generation Alto nameplate since early 2020 and was replaced by the S-Presso. Both models came from Suzuki Maruti in India.
