To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its open-top four-seater, Mini has launched the Convertible’s Seaside Edition.
The British automotive marque said that the limited-run version will be made available for the Cooper and Cooper S trims and will be in Caribbean Aqua or Nanuq White body colors.
On the outside, the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition features double decorative stripes in white run from the side doors to the rear of the vehicle and a stylized “30” graphic on the front apron, referring to the nameplate’s anniversary.
The design was made in contrast to the maritime-inspired paint finish, to highlight the sporty character of the aforementioned model.
“In the Nanuq White finish, the consistently light-colored bodywork has a particularly elegant appeal: here the Mini Convertible is reminiscent of spotted clouds against a deep-blue summer sky,” the company shared in a statement.
Further, the vehicles’ the limited-run model bore “Seaside” wording on its side scuttles and on the rear with graphically designed numerals in light and dark blue. At the rear is the word “Seaside” in sporty orange.
Meanwhile, the vehicle sits on 18-inch alloy wheels in Pulse Spoke design with weighted wheel caps to further show the model's number of anniversaries celebrated.
Inside, the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition comes with a pair of white stripes and Seaside lettering. It is also fitted with Carbon Black leather seats with knee rolls and armrests in the doors.
The lower spoke of its sports leather steering wheel also has the eponymous “Seaside” lettering. The vehicle key, which also features the Seaside lettering, has the edition-specific graphic wave pattern in iridescent blue tone.
Moreover, Mini said that the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition is equipped with the marque’s latest operating system.
Powering the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition Cooper is a three-cylinder gasoline engine while its Cooper S version, a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder mill with TwinPower Turbo Technology. The former can deliver a maximum of 136 horsepower (hp) while the latter has the capability to provide a peak churn of 178 hp.
The Mini Convertible Seaside Edition will be retailed starting February 2023.
