Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has launched a limited-run iteration of the Mirage G4.
Dubbed as the new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS Black Series, the subcompact sedan’s newest offering received the Black Series treatment that is similar to the Montero Sport, Strada, and Xpander.
Per MMPC, the latest addition to its Black Series is meant for “customers who are craving for added flair from Mitsubishi’s four-door sedan but still value reliability and efficiency.”
The exterior enhancements that can be found in the new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS Black Series are the following:
Apart from that, the vehicle also features interior enhancements such as floor and center console LED lights (Blue), trunk luggage tray and center armrest console.
“When it comes to our customers, we are all ears in order for us to meet their expectations. For the Mirage G4, the target market, being cool and practical at the same time are their major considerations. With the introduction of this new limited-edition model, we want to give our customers more options to best represent their personality,” MMPC President and Chief Executive Officer Takeshi Hara was quoted as saying.
Powering the new Mirage G4 GLS Black Series is the 1.2-liter three-cylinder double overhead cam Mitsubishi Innovate Valve Timing Electronic Control System (MIVEC) engine with a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). The pairing produces 76.4 horsepower and 100Nm of pulling power.
Other thoughtful features that are fitted in the new Mirage G4 GLS Black Series are the keyless entry and engine push start system as well as the Welcome Home and Coming Home Light that activate upon the click of the remote to illuminate immediate surroundings when leaving or approaching the vehicle.
The Japanese automaker’s local distributor said that only 150 units will be produced for the Philippine market.
Offered in two colors namely Titanium Gray Metallic and Red Metallic, the new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS Black Series is priced at P899,000.
Locally revealed last August, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4’s current generation wears a “dynamic shield” front grille and comes with a seven-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) system that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
