The expected launch of the Mitsubishi Xforce in the Philippines has been moved to next month.
In a teaser posted over its official Youtube channel earlier today, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) noted that the Xforce will be formally unveiled in July 2024.
“A new force is coming. July X 2024,” the company noted in the teaser.
To recall, it was in the first quarter of the year when Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Executive Vice President for Sales Tatsuo Nakamura announced that the brand’s arm in the country is eyeing to reveal the model by June 2024.
Last week, Carmudi Philippines reported that the forthcoming Mitsubishi Xforce will likely be offered in two trims namely the GLS and GT. Based on numerous posts from assumed agents of Mitsubishi dealers in the country, the former will be priced at P1.367 million while the latter P1.581 million.
Today, a source noted that the crossover will probably be offered in Quartz White, Graphite Gray, Blade Silver, and Energetic Yellow body colors.
In Indonesia, the Mitsubishi Xforce is 4,390 millimeters (mm) long; 1,810 mm; 1,660 mm wide with a 2,650-wheelbase and 222-millimeter ground clearance.
Powering the Indonesian-spec Mitsubishi Xforce is the 4A91 1.5-liter double overhead cam gasoline engine with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system (the same engine found in the Xpander). However, unlike the multi-purpose vehicle, the crossover’s mill is mated to a continuous variable transmission.
The powertrain combination of the Mitsubishi Xforce in Indonesia has maximum delivery of 103 horsepower and 141 Newton-meters.
MMPC confirmed that the small sport utility vehicle comes with four drive modes between Road, Gravel, Mud, and Wet (first introduced by Mitsubishi Motors).
The said vehicle will also have the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio set-up that offers four selectable modes: Lively, Signature, Powerful, and Relaxing.
