MMPC claimed that its switch from “Strada” to “Triton” nameplate “signifies a profound evolution in the brand’s approach to pick-up trucks.”
“The Triton name projects the image of a more advanced and refined pick-up truck that goes beyond limits, indicating that this vehicle is not merely an upgrade but an entirely new experience that enhances the journey of life,” the company explained.
For its exterior, the all-new Mitsubishi Triton sports a more aggressive look with its square-shaped grille, new headlight design, and the famous Dynamic Shield Design.
The all-new Mitsubishi Triton will be retailed in seven body color options: White Diamond, Graphite Gray, Jet Black, Red Solid, White Solid, Yamabuki Orange, and Blade Silver.
MMPC shared that the forthcoming pick-up truck will have a larger bed compared to the outgoing Strada, which is 2,340 millimeters (mm) long, 1,580 mm wide, and 515mm deep — allowing the vehicle to carry Euro palette crosswise even with a bed-liner. In addition, its bed floor height is also lowered (821 mm), to ensure easier loading and unloading of cargo.
Further, the vehicle offers a roomier cabin and is fitted with a nine-inch display audio system that has enhanced connectivity options.
Under the hood of the all-new Mitsubishi Triton is a 2.4-liter bi-turbo diesel engine that can provide up to 201 horsepower and 470 Newton-meters of torque.
It will also come with improved suspension design with new shock-absorption system.
Its host of safety features include forward collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, and object detection. The top-spec Triton trim will have a rear cross traffic alert and multi-around view monitor.
