Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has collaborated with emerging mobile phone brand Realme in helping two Filipinos get back to their respective hometowns to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones after years of being apart.
In a statement, MMPC said that the said move is part of the host of programs that the company will undertake with the technology brand.
For this initiative, Charmaine Bañez and Kathy Domingo received a surprise care package and an all-expense paid land travel from Navotas to Quezon Province and from Caloocan to Bulacan, correspondingly.
“Christmas in the Philippines is known to be the grandest and longest celebration across the world. And rightly so, as we Filipinos prepare for it as early as September leading to Noche Buena which is typically spent with our families and sometimes even including friends and neighbors,” MMPC Assistant Vice President for Brand Communications Mark Parulan said.
“Quarantine restrictions lightened this 2021 and inter-city travel has gradually been allowed. We found this as an opportunity to help our kababayans, who have been meaning to spend quality time with relatives in their provinces this holiday season. More to our cars being modes of transportation, Mitsubishi Motors wants to be part of creating that memorable moment for them with and through #realmeWithYou.”
The company utilized its best-selling multi-purpose vehicle Xpander and its reliable pick-up truck Strada to bring the two to their families.
“The Xpander served looks with its sportiness inside and out. Designed with Omotenashi or “Japanese hospitality” in mind, its seven-seat cabin had an inviting aura that brought added comfort and ample space for those onboard including their luggage. Whereas the Strada Athlete commanded the road from smooth pavements to muddy terrains. Though built for off-roading or carrying heavier loads, its ride felt like a passenger car but with a roomier interior and an advanced safety suite so everyone was at ease and had a worry-free trip,” the company noted.
For his part, MMPC President and Chief Executive Officer Takeshi Hara expressed gratitude for the collaboration that helped spread joy and love.
“Furthermore, in honor of our renewed commitment to make lives better, Filipinos can expect Mitsubishi Motors to be by their side whatever the occasion or season may be,” he added.
Aside from the abovementioned partnership, Realme has launched a multi-faceted holiday campaign dubbed as “#realmeWithYou” wherein the mobile phone brand rolled out promos, contests, Streamers' Royale Tournament, and a Christmas Raffle Promo that includes a brand-new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 as prize.
