Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) announced that it will be releasing a new offering and we believe that it will be the latest version of the Xpander Cross.
The assumption came following the invite from the Japanese automaker’s local distributor sent today (January 4, 2023).
Based on the invitation (which features a translucent photo of the vehicle’s front fascia), the company will have its latest product launch on January 26.
“Get ready to cross the current,” MMPC said in the e-mail.
In neighboring country Thailand, the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is offered in Quartz White Pearl, Blade Silver, Jet Black Mica, Graphite Gray and Sunrise Orange (the hue that will likely be offered in the country). There, the vehicle can be had with a wireless charging dock.
Since the Xpander Cross is the top-of-the-line variant, customers can expect the pricing to be north of P1.18 million which is the retail price of the nameplate’s GLS AT trim.
It can be recalled that the spruced-up iteration of the Mitsubishi Xpander was introduced in May 2022. The version wears a new black metallic radiator grille bordered with T-shape headlamps and redesigned daytime running lights and turn signals. It also comes with three-dimensional skid guards.
The updated Xpander is equipped with a 1.5-liter MIVEC double overhead cam, 16-valve engine that provides a peak churn of 103 horsepower and 141Nm of pulling power.
