Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has recently donated a pair of L300 units to the local government of Santa Rosa, in Laguna.
In a statement, the Japanese automotive marque’s local distributor said that the initiative is a sign of the strong relationship and cooperation between MMPC and the city government of Santa Rosa.
“Mitsubishi Motors acknowledges the efforts being done by the Santa Rosa local government to aid not only its citizens but also all the hardworking frontliners within the city,” MMPC President and Chief Executive Officer Takeshi Hara was quoted as saying.
“We at MMPC are committed to making every Filipino’s life better. Together with the Santa Rosa LGU, we aim to contribute to the lives of the Filipino people by providing reliable mobility solutions,” he added.
Receiving the donated vehicles, which will further support the local government’s logistical and transportation requirements is Santa Rosa Vice Mayor Arnold Arcillas.
Meanwhile, Santa Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas expressed gratitude towards the company’s newest gift to the city.
“From taxes paid, to employment opportunities, the corporate social responsibility programs of the automotive manufacturing industry have contributed immensely to the capacity and capability of the city government to provide continuous services for our constituents. Thank you very much, MMPC,” Arcillas said.
One of the biggest names in the utility van segment, the Mitsubishi L300 has been known for its reliability, durability, and low cost of ownership. Powering the locally-assembled model is the turbocharged 2.2-liter 4N14 mill, which is 40-percent more powerful and 10-percent more fuel efficient compared to its predecessor.
The existing iteration of the Mitsubishi L300 was launched in 2019.
