Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) fired the opening salvo for the country's automotive distributors this 2022 by officially launching the Montero Sport Black Series.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport is the latest model that expanded the brand’s Black Series Collection to three—with the Black Series Xpander introduced in November last year, followed by the Strada Athlete version last month.
In a statement, MMPC said that the arrival of Black Series edition for the seven-seater sport utility vehicle (SUV) is expected to further “elevate one’s journey with its luxurious design and premium features” with “meticulously-designed accents incorporated in its exterior facade.”
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport Black Series sports a blacked-out grille, headlamp extensions bumper garnish, roof rail and spoiler. Completing the all-black concept are the rear bumper garnish and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The said model is available in two body color options namely Jet Black Mica and White Diamond with the latter hue coming with a black roof that provides a two-tone design.
“Black symbolizes power, elegance and sophistication. With the addition of the Montero Sport in our Black Series collection, we wish to appeal to a market that intends to project the same characteristics at the same time give them an SUV that is built to handle anything,” MMPC President and Chief Executive Officer Takeshi Hara was quoted as saying.
Further, the Mitsubishi Montero Sport Black Series still brings the features that the nameplate is highly known for such as the 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine; spacious interior with flexible second- and third-row seats; active and passive safety features (Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System, Forward Collision Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control as well as Active Stability And Traction Control); abundant comfort features and premium interior materials and the HVAC system equipped with nanoe air-purifying system.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport Black Series is offered at P1.981 million (additional P15,000 for the White Diamond). To know more about the Montero Sport Black Series, customers may visit the Mitsubishi website or schedule an appointment with their preferred dealership.
