Following the teaser that was released early this month, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has now officially launched the new Mirage G4.
One of the local distributor’s best-selling nameplates, the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 has sold more than 92,000 units since its launch in 2013, and from the time it was locally produced in 2017, the MMPC facility has already manufactured more than 54,000 units in the country.
The Mirage G4 is also took the honor of being the 700,000th MMPC car built in Sta. Rosa back in 2019.
Set to compete in the highly-contested subcompact sedan category with the likes of the Toyota Vios, Hyundai Accent, Honda City, Kia Soluto and Suzuki Dzire, the new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 now boasts more aggressive styling, compared to the relatively modest design of the previous version.
The latest iteration of the Mirage G4 now wears the distinguished front signature Dynamic Shield design (the same design that the Xpander and Montero Sport wears for its front fascia), complemented by sporty headlight and front grille design. Powering the new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is the same 1.2-liter MIVEC engine paired to an INVECS-III continuous variable transmission (CVT).
The crème de la crème variant GLS has been loaded convenient with features such as a keyless operation system, push start button, electric power steering, auto climate control, audio mounted controls and seven-inch Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) touchscreen multimedia system that is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Coming as standard across the trims are safety features such as a Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body, dual airbags, Isofix anchorage, and automatic-off headlights. The high-end variant wears an additional reverse camera, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and fog lamps.
Meanwhile, MMPC shared that the new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 will also be retailed with a free preventive maintenance service (PMS) package good for two years or 25,000 km (whichever comes first) with free sanitation service to all customers who will purchase it starting today (August 28) up to November 30, 2021.
