Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has silently brought in the latest iteration of the Montero Sport.
The midsize sport utility vehicle’s (SUV) facelifted version — which is already in neighboring country Thailand — can be checked out at the company’s official website.
Here are the new features of the facelifted Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
The vehicle’s new exterior details are the front fascia’s updated Dynamic Shield design (with the upper portion fitted with hexagonal inserts), new headlamp housings, and revised 18-inch alloy wheels.
For its cabin, the 2024 Mitsubishi Montero Sport comes equipped with a steering wheel that looked the same as the one outfitted in the Xpander — but the control buttons are placed differently.
Other features that can be seen in the SUV are the liquid crystal display instrument panel, synthetic leather seats with heat guards, an infotainment system that has Smartphone-Link Display Audio (making it Apple Carplay and Android Auto-ready), and air-conditioning system that has nanoex technology.
Under the SUV’s hood is still the 2.4-liter diesel engine that is either mated to an eight speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. Its four-wheel-drive trims maintained the Super Select 4WD-II.
Among the safety technologies in the new Mitsubishi Montero Sport are the ultrasonic misacceleration mitigation system, rear cross traffic alert, blind sport warning with lane change assist, forward collision mitigation system, active stability and traction control, and adaptive cruise control.
Below are the new Mitsubishi Montero Sport’s four variations and their corresponding prices:
To note, the pricing of the Pajero Sport in the Land of Smiles (the local-spec Montero-Sport’s counterpart there) can be had in P2.149 million-P2.614 million.
