Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) recently shared the features and the pricing of the 2023 Outlander plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the United States (US).
The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will be offered in seven variants, starting with the ES trim. Priced at US$39,845 (P2.35 million), the base model of the sports utility vehicle (SUV) comes with standard features like the 12.3-inch full LCD meter cluster display, as well as an eight-inch Smartphone-Link Display Audio (SDA) unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
It also has a strong suite of safety features that include Hill Descent Control (HDC), Trailer Stability Assist (TSA), Rear Automatic Emergency Braking (Rear AEB), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW), Active Blind Spot Assist (ABSA), and Blind Spot Warning (BSW) with Lane Change Assist (LCA), to name a few.
This seven-seater SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Next on the variant hierarchy is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SE. Priced at US$42,145 (P2.486 million), the vehicle comes with all the features found on the ES trim and as well as the additional LED front fog lamps, front rain-sensing wipers, a hands-free remote power liftgate, and a set of 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
Inside are heated front seats, heated door mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob, seats covered with synthetic leather, and a nine-inch SDA with navigation.
Its safety features are improved with adaptive cruise control (ACC) with traffic jam assist, lane keep assist (LKA), lane departure prevention (LDP), and traffic sign recognition (TSR).
Third on the range is the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SE with Tech Package. With a price tag of US$44,145 (P2.598 million), the aforementioned option gets power-panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and Bose Premium audio system with nine speakers.
Coming in at fourth is the2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SEL variant. Priced at US45,445 (P2.677 million), the trim level has all the equipment found on SE models but gets leather seats, heated rear seats, a three-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and reverse auto tilt mirrors.
The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SEL Touring has everything the SEL trim has but adds a power-panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and a head-up display. It is priced at US$47,645 (P2.807 million).
The sixth variant in the lineup is the 2023 Outlander PHEV SEL Premium. Posh features are added to the amenities found in the SEL Touring variant namely, semi-aniline premium leather seats, a black roof, and a massage function on the driver and the front passenger’s seat. This variant has a retail price of US$48,145 (P2.836 million).
Lastly, MMNA is offering the 2023 Outlander PHEV in a 40th Anniversary Edition. This special trim gets all that the SEL Premium and adds a Black Diamond Paint with a Bronze roof and Limited 40th Anniversary badges. The 2023 Outlander PHEV 40th Anniversary Edition is priced at US$49,995 (P2.946 million).
