Mitsubishi stops vehicle production in Russia

No. Many automotive brands have temporarily ceased operations there following the row between Russia and Ukraine.In a statement, the Japanese automotive manufacturer said that it has halted manufacturing vehicles in its Kaluga plant, saying that “due to the logistical difficulties, vehicle exports and parts supply to Russia have been suspended since March.”
Last March 24, MMC announced that it will give €1 million Euros to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) as humanitarian aid to the affected populations in Ukraine and in the neighboring countries.
MMC is not the sole company who has suspended its operations amid the ongoing row between Russia and Ukraine.
Ford earlier said that the situation compelled the Michigan-based company to reassess their operations in Russia. “While we don’t have significant operations in Ukraine, we do have a strong contingent of Ukrainian nationals working at Ford around the world and we will continue to support them through this time,” the Blue Oval shared.
Nissan also suspended exporting vehicles to Russia and announced that it is anticipating to stop its plant in St. Petersburg.
The two marques have also pledged funds to support the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
