Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will be showcasing three models at the 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show.
From March 22, to April 3, visitors can check out the new Xpander and the Ralliart versions of the Triton Double-Cab (also known as the L200) and Mirage at the exhibit.
The company said that the new Xpander, which premiered November last year in Indonesia, features a refreshed design to emphasize the sport utility vehicle styling while maintaining its continuously variable transmission to assure reduced fuel consumption.
MMC shared in a statement that the Xpander is the brand’s “global strategic model with more than 100,000 units sold globally in 2021” and is "planned to be rolled out to in other markets centering on the ASEAN region."
To note, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) — the global automotive marque’s arm in the country — has already announced its arrival in May, with the reservations opened since March 5.
Meanwhile, the Triton Double Cab Ralliart and Mirage Ralliart reveal followed the introduction of the Triton Ralliart and Pajero Sport Ralliart in the Land of Smiles.
The two models are equipped with special accessories including side decals with red, silver and black stripes and red mud flaps reminiscent of the brand's historic rally cars, as well as other exterior and interior accessories with the Ralliart logo.
"The new Xpander is gaining popularity in Indonesia, where its strengthened SUV styling, a high-quality interior and an eco-friendly yet powerful road performance are highly recognized, so we believe it will also be well received by customers in Thailand," MMC Executive Vice President Yoichiro Yatabe was quoted as saying.
"As for the Ralliart special editions, we add two models to the lineup, which embody Mitsubishi Motors-ness and Ralliart's passion for road performance."
