The Mitsubishi Xforce scored a five-star rating under the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries’ (ASEAN NCAP) 2021–2025 protocol.
After the evaluation, the Japanese automaker’s newest crossover garnered a total of 79.15 points by receiving 34.89 in adult occupant protection, 17.03 in child occupant protection, 14.85 in safety assist, and 12.39 in motorcyclist safety.
Last August 5, assessors attributed the score to the vehicle’s standard safety features across all trims such as four airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, seatbelt reminder system for frontal and rear seats occupants, as well as pedestrian protection technology.
Additionally, the Mitsubishi Xforce also comes with autonomous emergency braking (city and inter-urban), blind spot detection, forward collision warning, and auto high beam — either as standard or optional.
“Mitsubishi has indeed poured their commitment by ensuring that the model provides the necessary protection to both the occupants and other road users. With the 5-Star rating under its belt, ASEAN NCAP is proud that Mitsubishi has joined in our aspiration to ensure safe mobility for all,” ASEAN NCAP shared in statement.
Initially revealed in the country in the form of the XFC Concept in mid-2023, the Philippine-spec all-new Mitsubishi Xforce re-entered the local compact crossover space last July.
Available in Quartz White, Graphite Gray, Blade Silver, and Energetic Yellow, the Mitsubishi Xforce is retailed in the Philippines in two variants at the following prices:
