Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) shall launch the all-new Xforce on July 5.
The specific date was shared after the company moved the small sport utility vehicle’s formal unveiling from the current month (as shared by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Executive Vice President for Sales Tatsuo Nakamura) to next month (as seen on the teaser video recently posted over the company’s Youtube channel).
According to the Japanese automotive manufacturer’s arm in the country assured immediate delivery of the units on its launch date — noting that it has already prepared its inventory for the local market.
Further, MMPC also confirmed some information about the vehicle — among which are the Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud drive modes and the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system.
Per MMPC, the Wet Mode adjusts power delivery, traction, yaw control levels, and steering weight to give Xforce drivers stability and control over wet roads.
Meanwhile, the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce’s eight-speaker layout has Speed Compensated Volume and equalizer functions that guarantee a well-balanced sound even when driving on rough roads.
Meanwhile, MMPC said that it will provide more information about the vehicle on June 28.
Earlier, Carmudi Philippines received reliable information that the arriving vehicle shall be retailed in GLS and GT option and are priced at P1.367 million and P1.581 million, respectively. They will probably become available in Quartz White, Graphite Gray, Blade Silver, and Energetic Yellow body colors.
Similar to the Indonesian-spec Mitsubishi Xforce, the upcoming model could measure 4,390 millimeters (mm) long; 1,810 mm; 1,660 mm wide with a 2,650-wheelbase and 222-millimeter ground clearance.
Likely to be seen under the vehicle’s hood is the 4A91 1.5-liter double overhead cam gasoline mill with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system — the same engine that can be found in the Xpander.
