MMDA suspends roadworks from Aug. 17-Sept. 10

5. Roxas Boulevard, National Irrigation Administration Road to United Nations Avenue
6. Along Meralco Avenue
7. Ortigas Avenue, EDSA to C5 Road
8. EDSA North Avenue to Agham Road
Per MMDA, the said roadwork involves reblocking, utility works, pipe laying, road upgrading, and excavation works in the abovementioned thoroughfares in Metro Manila.
Moreover, mall-wide sales will also be prohibited in malls along EDSA to ensure that all affected roads will remain passable, clean, safe, and serviceable to all types of vehicles and pedestrians during the said period.
The move to cancel any public event that might cause heavy traffic will be enforced through Memorandum Circular Number 7 and as part of the preparations for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
The memorandum circular, signed by MMDA Acting Chairman Romando Artes, was issued to all concerned offices, Department of Public Works and Highways-NCR Engineering Districts, local government units, utility companies, contractors, and shopping mall operators.
