A total of 15 modernized public utility vehicles from Isuzu have been delivered to a transport group in Oriental Mindoro.
Last October 6, Isuzu Philippines Corporation handed over the keys of the Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 units to operators under the MIMAROPA Transport Cooperative that covers the Calapan City-Pinamalayan route.
The cooperative, IPC said in a statement, are first-time clients of the brand that have improved their fleet to accommodate the growing number of commuters in the area and align their livelihood with Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board's guidelines for long distance routes.
“We choose Isuzu because of its renowned durability, fuel efficiency and the fact that it is very easy to maintain. These modern PUVs will improve the quality of service that we provide to our customers in the area,” MIMAROPA Transport Cooperative Chairman of the Board Albert Cayetano was quoted as saying.
Each Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 is propelled by a 4JH1-TC Blue Power diesel engine.
Its body — created by Centro Manufacturing — can carry as much as 23 passengers.
Complying to the parameters set by the Philippine National Standard, every Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 model is fitted with a global positioning system, a closed-circuit television camera, speed limiter, dashboard camera, wireless-fidelity network, and an automated fare collection system.
“In Isuzu, we listen to our customers, so that we can provide the best business solutions. Considering the route and operational condition of the cooperative, the Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 proves to be the best fit for them. Aside from our durable products, it is our excellent aftersales support that we strengthen the most, especially for fleet customers,” IPC Vice President for Sales Yasuhiko Oyama said.
“We always make sure that our parts are readily available nationwide, and that we have dealerships in strategic locations, then for those really far flung, we service them via our Mobile Medic trucks. We know how important it is that their vehicle would have less downtime, so we support them as soon as possible,” he added.
