Ford Philippines has hit the 15,000-unit sales milestone for the next-generation Ranger.
According to the Blue Oval brand’s local distributor, the next-generation Ranger already had 16,127 examples rolled out to customers as of September 2023. The said achievement was reached 14 months after the model was introduced in the local market.
In addition, the pick-up truck continues to be the firm’s best-selling nameplate during the first three quarters of the year — turning over to customers a total of 9,113 units. The aforementioned volume showed a 22-percent increase when compared to the figure that Ford Philippines recorded in the same period last year.
“We are elated with the achievement of this new milestone for the next-gen Ranger, which is a true testament to its growing popularity among Filipino pickup truck buyers. It is the smartest, most versatile, and most capable Ranger yet, and was developed with our customers in mind. We thank our loyal base of Ranger owners for their trust and our dealers for continuing to enhance the ownership experience,” Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Allen Breen said in a statement.
On the outside, the next-generation Ford Ranger is outfitted with a new grille design, rear box side steps, wider track and wheelbase, embossed tailgate and LED taillamps, and C-clamp LED headlamps.
Meanwhile, the cabin of the vehicle features an eight-inch digital instrument cluster, 10- or 12-inch portrait touchscreen, 360-degree camera, and Sync 4A with Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
It also comes with an upgraded chassis and suspension, as well as a 50-millimeter track width increase.
Further, the vehicle hosts numerous driver-assist technologies that include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, and blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert and braking. Depending on the trim, the vehicle offers up to seven airbags.
Likewise, the next-generation Ranger is packaged with FordPass and a five-year warranty.
Moreover, Ford Philippines has announced that the Truck Month promo has been extended until the end of October.
