Most suitable colors for the Toyota Hilux?

Last month, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) brought the latest iteration of the segment-leading Hilux to our local shores. Performance-wise, the Hilux is bound to provide the muscle you need, making it a good partner workhorse.

But just as the Toyota Hilux is guaranteed to deliver performance, it needs to fit the design and color that would show it would play the part.

Aside from its efficiency and delivery of power, the vehicle is bound to tickle the taste buds of the vehicle buyers just by seeing it.  But what do you think would be the perfect hue for the Toyota Hilux? Let’s enumerate its color offerings first.

White

The white shade has been a constant mainstay in numerous vehicle models and why not, it’s simplicity describes purity and clarity. 

The basic white color is the sole color available in the first six variants of the refreshed Hilux, namely 2.4 4x2 Cargo M/T, 2.4 4x2 FX without Rear Aircon M/T, 2.4 4x2 FX with Rear Aircon M/T, 2.4 4x2 Cab & Chassis M/T, and the 2.4 J (4X2 and 4x4).

The color depicts that it is built for business more than pleasure. The plain white is perfect if you want to blend in the crowd. Also, the reason it is perfect for business, the whole vehicle can serve as a white canvass for a company name or logo.

Super white

This color shade is available in middle top-tier variants such as the 2.4 E 4x2 M/T, 2.4 G 4x2 (both manual and automatic), Conquest 2.4 4x2 (Manual and automatic) as well as Conquest 2.8 4x4 (Manual and automatic).

This is a glossier and darker shade of white, which gives the Hilux pick-up a certain level of sophistication. This is one of the color offerings that give the Hilux a dash of personality.

Silver Metallic, Gray metallic

Usually, these colors befit a sedan, but they are a good consideration for the Hilux, should you opt the vehicle being seen more on the urban jungle.

These two hues are available in the 2.4 E 4x2 M/T, 2.4 G 4x2 (manual and automatic). Aside from previously-mentioned grades, the Gray Metallic color is also seen on all Conquest varieties. 

Attitude Black Mica

Wearing a Pitch black hue is a challenge to keep clean as the smallest spec of dust can be easily on this. However, if you have the time (or the manpower) to tidy it up, this color wears a higher level of elegance and sophistication.

Even when driving an athletic vehicle like the Hilux, this would be the perfect hue than what can be brought in galas and ballrooms. Also, light scratches and dings can be temporarily concealed in the color and gloss of Attitude Black Mica.

This color is available 2.4 E 4x2 M/T, 2.4 G 4x2 (automatic and manual), Conquest 2.4 4x2 (manual and automatic) and the Conquest 2.8 4x4 (manual and automatic).

Crimson Red

Considered to be one of the Hilux’s most expressive colors, Crimson Red shows the youthful appeal of the local pick-up segment leader. The aggressive look complements the sharpness of the color, giving all the curves and edges the right amount of glow.

This is one of the standard hues in the 2.4 E 4x2 M/T and 2.4 G 4x2 (both manual and automatic).

Orange Metallic

First of the exclusive colors for the Hilux, the hue is not much seen in the roads, giving the owner more exclusivity.

The Orange Metallic shade is only available in the Hilux G 4x2—both in the manual and automatic transmission varieties.

Nebula Blue Metallic

 The Nebula Blue Metallic is the more famous shade of the Hilux Conquest. This is seen in the previous version of the top-tier variant. The color is very popular on Philippine roads, which means this could still be a market favorite even with the new design of the Hilux.

This is available in the G variants as well as the whole Conquest lineup.

Emotional Red

The latest color for the updated model offering. While it does not attract much attention to itself unlike the Nebula Blue Metallic, it displays the curves well. A relative shade of the Crimson Red, this could also be a winner for those who do not want loud colors for their vehicles.

Emotional Red is exclusive to the Conquest line.

Conclusion

For a more youthful vibe, the best choices would be the Nebula Blue Metallic and the Orange Metallic. On the eloquent and athletic, the Attitude Black Mica or the Super White would be a good bet, but if you want more exclusivity, the Emotional Red, and again, the Orange Metallic.

Whatever, the color for the Toyota Hilux, you can be sure it is designed to deliver and in style.
