Team Mugen’s Red Bull Motul Mugen SF23 cars used Motul MS-P 0W-30 engine oils.Although he missed round four due to physical injuries, Japanese race car driver Tomoki Nojiri was able to finish second and deliver an exceptional performance.
“Despite feeling anxious throughout the race week, I’m glad I persevered and secured a strong second place finish. The physically demanding Sugo circuit didn't stop me from fighting until the end, especially since I put my trust in Motul and have a lot of confidence in their oils to push my car to its limit. Although I faced challenging moments throughout the race, I stayed resilient and powered through. Looking ahead, I'm eager to face the next race at Fuji with determination. Going forward with the official test at Fuji before the race, I'm focused on building a solid foundation to prepare for a successful comeback with the help of Motul for the rest of the season,” Nojiri said.
Alongside Nojiri was his teammate, New Zealander Liam Lawson. The former drove the number 1 Red Bull Motul Mugen SF23 car, while the latter drove a similar machine numbered 15.
Ensuring that both race cars performed at their peak was the Motul MS-P 0W-30 engine oil.
The said motor oil was developed in partnership with Mugen and specifically curated by Motul for Super Formula.
The innovative MS-P 0W-30 oil “improves airtightness of piston rings, allowing peak power at low engine speeds, ultimately contributing to better driver ability. It reduces blow-by of combustion gases, prevents viscosity reduction, and provides crucial protection to turbochargers and engines.”
Team Mugen is currently leading the teams’ championship with 110 points. In the drivers’ standings, Lawson is currently in second place with 63 points followed closely by Nojiri with 58 points.
