Motul unveils rally-inspired 2022 Jeep Wagoneer

Motul has unveiled a customized, rally-inspired Jeep Wagoneer that will tour the United States from March 8 to September 17, 2023.

Dubbed the Motul Wagoneer, the tricked-out sport utility vehicle was built to celebrate the 45th edition of the Dakar Rally and the oil brand's fifth year as the rally’s official lubricant partner.

According to the French automotive lubricant company, the rally-inspired Jeep Wagoneer is equipped with a fifth-generation Ram 1500 3.5-inch ReadyLIFT suspension kit (modified and installed by Rad Rides of Huntington Beach, California), custom-fabricated two-inch rear-end spacers, a set of matte black Chase 18-inch Black Rhino wheels shod in BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, and a RIGd Supply UltraSwing Multi-Fit spare tire hitch mount.

Power comes from a 5.7-liter eTorque Hemi. The engine, Motul explained, was purchased through its racing partners Pfaff Motorsports and Driveway.com.

Further, Motul upgraded the Jeep Wagoneer’s fluids to 8100 Eco-Lite 0W20 100 percent synthetic engine oil, with Gear 300 75W90 and Gear 300 75W90 LS in the differentials.

Per the Aubervilliers-based brand, the souped-up Jeep Wagoneer wears Dakar-inspired vinyl wrap completed by Sticky Fingers Design.

Future modifications will include an Area BFE Black Series aluminum hard-shell roof-top tent, a fridge, Gobi Racks Stealth Roof Rack, and a rear ladder.
