MPT South gets 2 honors at Quill Awards

MPT South

Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), recently received two recognitions at the recently-concluded Quill Awards.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What awards did the MPT South receive in the Quill Awards?

The MPT South received an Excellence Award under the Communication Management Division for Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication category for the "Biyaheng South" program and a Merit Award under the Communication Management Division for the Community Relations category thanks to its "Drayberks" road safety seminar.
  • Who gave the two awards to the MPT South?

The International Association of Business Communicators Philippines gave the honors to MPT South.
  • During the recent 19th Philippine Quill Awards awarding ceremony, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines honored the MPT South's "Biyaheng South" an Excellence Award under the Communication Management Division for Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication category and "Drayberks" a Merit Award under the Communication Management Division for the Community Relations category.

According to MPT South, the Biyaheng South (which has been active on social channels like Facebook and TikTok) promoted the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX and CAVITEX C5 LINK) and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) as gateways to key attractions in the southern Luzon — particularly in Cavite and Laguna.

    Biyaheng South

The Biyaheng South was able to generate one million views on Tiktok and a lifetime reach of 75,000 on Facebook with more than 20,0000 combined followers on both platforms.

On the other hand, the toll road company's social advocacy "Drayberks" continues to gather motorists, key stakeholders, and residents of surrounding communities in Metro Manila, Cavite and Laguna for a road safety seminar to share to them the expressway’s safety features and their role in keeping the road safe for everyone.

Even if the government has imposed restrictions that prevented people from physically gathering, MPT South continued with its Drayberks program in 2021 by shifting to digital. “This results in achieving a constant decrease in traffic incidents from 2019 to 2021 and contributing to MPT South’s goal of Zero Fatality, which the company attained since 2017,” MPT South shared in a statement.

    Drayberks

"MPT South has always been aggressive in communicating with our audiences regardless of the channels and it is a huge honor for us to receive this prestigious award. This will motivate us to explore more ways of communicating with our customers to introduce better ways toward better days in the most creative way," MPT South Assistant Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Arlette Capistrano was quoted as saying.
