Following its successful maiden round, Mazda Philippines announced that it will be holding the second leg of the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) Miata Spec Series in the coming weekend.
In a statement, the company said that the event — which is scheduled on Saturday (August 27) at the Clark International Speedway — shall take place “rain or shine.”
“Catch 20 drivers put their skills to the test in the country’s first-ever one-make sports car racing series,” Mazda Philippines said in a statement.
The competitors in the event will be using the latest-generation MX-5 roadster powered by a showroom stock 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine paired to a six-speed Skyactiv manual transmission.
The aforementioned units are equipped with a custom exhaust developed by Drift Xaust; Cusco sport coil overs and chassis braces; Rota wheels on GT Radial tires; as well as Sparco competition steering wheel, racing seat, harness, and safety net.
The MSCC Mazda Miata Spec Series is sponsored by Pilipinas Shell, GT Radial, and Rota Wheels.
