Newest offering comes in 2 powertrain options
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has unveiled the all-new Dzire.
In a statement, the company noted that while the model’s primary market will be India, the all-new Suzuki Dzire will also be exported to the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) regions afterwards.
This could mean that the brand's Philippine distributor might be updating its lineup soon.
Since its inception in March 2008, the Dzire nameplate has retailed more than 2.7 million units in India alone.
Below are some of the details about Suzuki’s latest product.
The all-new Suzuki Dzire measures 3,995 millimeters (mm) long; 1,735mm wide; and 1,525mm tall — with a 2,450-mm wheelbase and 163-mm ground clearance and as much as 382 liters of trunk space.
Carrying a more contemporary design language, the car is outfitted with a wider grille, bolder headlamps with daytime running lights, projector fog lamps, new wheel designs, aero boot lid spoiler, shark fin antenna, and bold character lines at the side — matching its overall aggressive silhouette.
It runs on either 14-inch steelies or 15-inch alloys.
A black-and-beige color scheme occupies its cabin as seen in the seats, dashboard, and door panels. It also features urbane satin accents, chrome trimmings, footwheel illuminations.
The all-new Suzuki Dzire has a combination of digital and analog display for its gauge cluster while the floating infotainment system (seven- or nine-inch in size; Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatible) is mated to a two- or four- speaker set-up.
Powering the all-new Suzuki Dzire is a 1.2-liter Z12E engine — that is either fed with pure gasoline or with compressed natural gas (CNG).
On paper, the purely gasoline-propelled powertrain can dish out up to 80 horsepower (hp) and 112 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque while the bi-fuel version, 69 hp, and 102 Nm.
In addition, the mills are mated to a five-speed gearbox (either in manual or automated manual transmission).
Its front discs and rear drum brakes facilitate its halts and decelerations.
