Mazda revealed that the MX-5 — aka the Miata — will lead its lineup for the upcoming 2023 Japan Mobility Show.
To note, the Mazda MX-5 is available in the country, both in RF and Soft Top body styles.
According to the Japanese carmaker, a variety of Mazda MX-5 models will be showcased on the brand’s booth at the automotive expo.
Included are the first-generation MX-5 and the latest MX-5 model. Further, Mazda will display the MX-5 SeDV — a car that can be controlled using only the driver's hands — and a two-thirds scale MX-5 model, which will provide young event-goers with a simulated driving experience.
Additionally, the new concept car designed to symbolize the exhibit theme will be unveiled as the world premiere at the show.
Mazda also noted that it will be joining the programs organized by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association. In the motorsport area, the Hiroshima-headquartered brand will display its Mazda2 Bio Concept, which is fueled by the next-generation biodiesel.
Also, Mazda noted that it will take part in Out of KidZania, the side project of KidZania, which is a popular educational entertainment venue that lets children explore the world of adult jobs through role play.
Visitors coming in with children can have their little ones try out two Mazda jobs. They are the “sand-casting” experience, which is designed for elementary school children, and the “stamping operator” experience, which is designed for preschool children.
To take place inside a simulated “Mazda factory,” the two abovementioned activities will offer children the pleasure of being a part of automotive manufacturing.
All of Mazda’s activities and displays for the 2023 Japan Mobility Show are rooted in the theme “The future created by the ‘love of cars.’” Per the brand, the said theme “is designed to show Mazda’s continued commitment to the creation of products that satisfy customers’ love of driving and cars.”
