Ford has just launched the new Ford Ranger XL Street in Thailand.
The refreshed pickup truck boasts a front black grille and multi-reflector headlamps. The unmistakable two-stripe finish at the middle of the Ford Ranger XL Street is a distinguishing characteristic.
Under the hood is a 2.2-liter, in-line, four-cylinder, 16-valve, diesel mill with VG Turbo and intercooler. The engine, which can produce a maximum power output of 157hp with 385Nm of torque, is mated to a six-speed manual tranny.
It is supported by double wishbone suspension with coil spring and anti-roll bar at the front and a leaf spring setup at the rear. Stopping power comes from ventilated disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
Interior amenities of the Thailand-spec Ranger XL Street include adjustable seats (driver and front passenger), all-weather floor mats, power windows, remote key, a 12-volt power socket, and a dot-matrix information display on the cluster.
Ford also launched the beefed-up Ford Ranger XL Street Special Edition which sports the bold F-O-R-D grille with front and rear bumper extensions, side skirts, and a tailgate spoiler.
The Ford Ranger XL Street Special Edition will also feature an eight-inch touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
