Mercedes-Benz presented the new E-Class sedan, which now comes standard with third-party applications.
The Three-Pointed Star marque said that the newly-revealed offering now has Tiktok, the game Angry Birds, the collaborative application Webex, and the office application Zoom.
The automaker even said it now has the internet browser Vivaldi.
Moreover, Mercedes-Benz slapped a selfie and video camera (part of the optional MBUX Superscreen) on top of the dashboard.
Additionally, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also outfitted with a new electronics architecture, which means that the sedan’s screens and the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system now share a new, very powerful central onboard computer.
And speaking of the MBUX infotainment system, the new Mercedes-Benz E-class equipped with the optional front passenger screen will get an MBUX Superscreen with a glass surface that extends to the central display.
The main icons on the central and optional passenger displays are also now simpler and also color-coded making them look like smartphone tiles.
In addition, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class also gets new features like Energizing Comfort and Energizing Coach.
Per the Stuttgart-headquartered automotive brand, Energizing Comfort can help reduce symptoms of car sickness like fatigue, sweating, paleness, drowsiness, nausea, headache, and vomiting.
Energizing Coach, on the other hand, is a virtual wellness coach that uses intelligent algorithm and recommends various Energizing Comfort settings to the automobile’s passengers.
New features of Energizing Coach in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the carmaker pointed out, also include the vital data shown in the central display.
Other new features confirmed for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class include Digital Vehicle Key availability for the Iphone and Apple Watch and a new ambient active lighting setup.
The firm also stated that the new E-Class sedan now has a longer wheelbase and is more sophisticated than its predecessor.
According to the German automotive brand, the new E-Class has an overall wheelbase of 2,961 millimeters (mm) — making it 22mm longer than the outgoing version. As a result, occupants get more space inside the cabin, creating a more comfortable riding experience.
Mercedes-Benz also revealed that it is looking to include autonomous parking to the well-appointed new E-Class.
In Europe, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will hit dealerships in mid-2023.
