Nissan Philippines has launched a new variant of the Almera nameplate, expanding the model’s range in the country to four trims.
Per the local wing of the Japanese carmaker, the Nissan Almera VL Sport sits at the top of the variant hierarchy. It is priced at P1.195 million.
Outside, the Nissan Almera VL Sport wears a gloss black front grille with a Sport badge. It also gets a sleek wrap-around body kit that includes front, side, and rear skirts. At the back, it features a rear trunk spoiler, which per Nissan Philippines, gives the passenger car a “more aggressive and dynamic look.”
Inside, the new range-topping model comes with a dashboard and door trims finished with black leather with reddish-orange stitching. On the other hand, the seats get the same upholstery and are embroidered with the “Sport” script.
It also gets a scuff plate and a sport pedal.
Further, the Nissan Almera VL Sport is equipped with a seven-inch thin-film transistor instrument cluster as well as an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The latter is equipped with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity.
“The Almera VL Sport is our way of giving our customers more options when it comes to style and convenience. It's packed with features that make everyday driving more fun and easy. We're excited for our customers to experience it,” Nissan Philippines President Yasuhisa Masuda said.
