New Range Rover SV to offer wide customization options through SVO

Land Rover announced that the new Range Rover SV will offer a greater scope of personalization, thanks to the British automotive brand’s custom division — Special Vehicle Operations.

According to Land Rover, the new Range Rover has an estimated 1.6 million possible configurations using carefully crafted enhancements that showcase and complement New Range Rover’s modernist design. The materials available to Land Rover’s customers were chosen for their tactility and highlights Special Vehicle Operations’ passion for quality and uncompromising attention to detail.

“Working with the finest materials and innovative technologies has enabled us to introduce even more luxury into every part of the New Range Rover SV,” said SVO Managing Director Michael Van Der Sande.

One of these materials includes the ceramic SV roundel, which represents the SVO team’s design and engineering passion for modern luxury, performance, and capability. Land Rover says that the roundel introduces a simplified "SV'’ model name that will identify all-new Land Rover vehicles launched by Special Vehicle Operations in the future.

Ceramic has also been used in the Range Rover’s interior and is found in the gear shifter, Terrain Response, and volume control.

Ceramic-coated finishers with an intricate, embossed mosaic pattern are also available as an alternative to wood or metal.

In addition, the new Range Rover SV can be had with optional mosaic marquetry on the center console. The long-wheelbase four-seater SV Signature Suite model will see the marquetry extend from the front of the cabin, right through to the fridge door in the rear, gradating through the center console on all horizontal surfaces including the electrically deployable Club Table.

The new Range Rover SV also uses a monotone semi-aniline leather interior with uniquely shaped seats and SV-specific embroidery patterns. Alternatively, near-aniline options are also available which feature the natural finish and tactility of furniture-grade leather.

For those who opt for a more sustainable option, sustainable leather made with Light Cloud and Cinder Grey Ultrafabrics is available with the SV Intrepid interior theme. They are made using polyurethane and are 30 percent lighter and generate only a quarter of the CO2 in their production compared to traditional leather.

Other optional features include 13 different wheels that can be specified depending on the powertrain and design theme, like the triple-finish 23-inch forged Diamond Turned Dark Grey Gloss alloy wheels.

Those who are particular with the exterior finish of their vehicles can choose from a wide color palette including standard Range Rover colors and 14 additional colors in the SV Bespoke Premium Palette.

By expanding the choice of innovative and exquisite material finishes and curated choices available to our clients, they now have further opportunity to personalize their Range Rover SV to reflect their own character,” commented Jaguar Land Rover Chief Creative Officer, Gerry McGovern Obe.

Land Rover also offers specially curated SV Serenity and SV Intrepid design themes. The former focuses on luxury and features sophisticated Corinthian Bronze accents including the optional Corinthian Bronze contrast roof and wheel accents.

The latter, on the other hand, lends the New Range Rover SV a stealthier, more dynamic character.

Inside the SV Serenity are special rear seats, while the SV Intrepid comes with a similar special seat design at the front. Additionally, the SV Intrepid interior features a rectangular perforation pattern for the SV-specific seats, offers the progressive non-leather Ultrafabrics option and features Satin Black ceramic controls in place of Gloss White.

The new Range Rover SV will go on sale in early 2022 when final prices and specifications will be confirmed. It will be available in both Standard and Long Wheelbase body designs, including a five-seat LWB configuration for the first time.
