The first official images of the
all-new Suzuki Jimny have been revealed by the Japanese automaker--and we like it. The
fourth-generation Jimny features a
retro-modern design, which gave us the idea that this vehicle could star in the new music video of the Filipino band IV of Spades.
Kidding aside, the all-new Jimny
looks well composed and confident. The overall design of Suzuki’s mini 4x4 machine is not over the top nor bland. It has the right amount flare without compromising the Jimny’s rugged heritage. As you can see, the all-new Jimny has a
boxy body that’s fitted with
round headlights and signal lights, a
black mesh grille, and a
black front bumper. Turning at the side, the Jimny is characterized by
wide fender flares as well as straight character lines. The rear, on the other hand, gets
bumper-mounted taillights, a
tailgate-mounted spare wheel, and a third brake lamp.
Suzuki’s global website revealed that the all-new Jimny will be available in either
two-tone or single-tone exterior paint. The two-tone colors are as follows: Kinetic Yellow, Brisk Blue Metallic, and Chiffon Ivory Metallic. The single-tone colors are Jungle Green, Bluish Black Pearl 3, Medium Gray, Silky Silver Metallic, and Superior White.
The
interior of the Jimny comes with a black cabin theme. It has a three-spoke steering wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system, and an auto climate control for the air conditioner. The image also suggest that the vehicle has a
dual instrument cluster design with
orange-on-black look. While it is not yet official, we can see that there’s a
Hill Descent Control switch that’s placed below the climate controls.
There’s no official word when it comes to the Jimny’s powertrain details. However, we do know that the Jimny will still have a
ladder-frame chassis along with a
three-link rigid axle suspension. It will be available in
either a manual or automatic transmission. Suzuki could officially launch the all-new Jimny as early as next month.
