Newly paved road worth P10-M in Zamboanga City now complete
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said that the road concreting project in Zamboanga City is now complete.

The P10-million project includes the improvement of the line canal and drainage system in the area.In her report, DPWH-Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia said that the 582-meter road is expected to improve mobility going to and from the city proper.
“With improved connectivity, travel time to and from the metro will be reduced by 10 minutes, promoting daily economic activities for the 8,068 residents of Barangay Bolong,” Dia was quoted as saying.
In a statement, the project has been funded with P10 million under the General Appropriations Act of 2021. It also covers the improvement of the line canal and drainage system in the area.
For his part, public works secretary Roger Mercado commended DPWH Zamboanga City District Engineering Office (DEO) for the on-time completion of the project amid the challenges caused by the pandemic.
