The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce is recalling hundreds of next-generation Ford Territory due to a potential issue with the compact crossover’s steering column.
In a statement, the Saudi government said that some 665 examples of the model there are affected by the recall.
Such defect on the 2023 Ford Territory’s steering column, the government pointed out, “could result in detachment and loss of control while driving.”
On that note, the Ministry of Commerce ordered owners of the next-generation Ford Territory to “immediately stop using them and contact their local dealerships to arrange for repairs and compensation.”
Ford Philippines has not issued a recall statement for the locally-offered next-generation Territory, which was launched in the country not too long ago.
It is offered in two variants — Titanium and Titanium X — and is priced at P1.335 million to P1.599 million, respectively.
And while no similar issue was found on the Philippine-market currently-offered Ford Territory, its previous version was recalled back in 2021 due to engine issues.
