Flying the banner of the Nissan Nismo team and under the supervision of Team Principal Motohiro Matsumura, the crew was able to gather data needed for racecar and aftermarket-part development, as well as to expand its experience with carbon-neutral fuel.

We aim to get a lot of data through this tough 24-hour endurance race that we can use in future development, helping us create even more exciting cars for customers around the world,” Nissan Motorsports business Unit Office Head and Nissan Motorsports and Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) President Takao Katagiri, was quoted saying.
Nissan also said that it aims to achieve carbon neutrality throughout its product life cycle by fiscal year 2050. In addition to participating in the all-electric ABB FIA Formula E World Championship race series, Nissan and NMC are aiming at a wider range of carbon-neutral motorsports.
