Nissan PH president hands over all-new Almera units to first 2 buyers
Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) handed over the first two units of the recently launched Nissan Almera, through its dealer partner in Alabang, Southgatemotors Ventures Corporation (SVC).
No less than NPI President Atsushi Najima and SVC President Doroteo Sornet handed over the keys of the brand-new Nissan Almera to Felicisimo Austria Jr. and Criselda Resurreccion.
Sornet shared that the two buyers of the all-new Nissan Almera were already followers of the Japanese marque. According to him, Austria (who came back to the Philippines after retiring from work) was driving an Altima back in the United States while Resurreccion — who is looking for a second car — currently owns an X-Trail.
In a Facebook post, Najima expressed delight over the turnover, describing the occasion as a “very heartwarming moment.”
“One of our customers gifted his father the all-new Almera for his birthday. I feel proud and privileged for the opportunity to meet both of them and personally hand over their new car,” the top honcho of Nissan in the country shared.
“I am happy to know that they have a perfect partner for this new beginning in their family: a stylish, reliable, and smart sedan, with improved performance and upgraded comfort. The all-new Nissan Almera is truly a great way to celebrate significant life milestones,” he added.
The all-new Nissan Almera, which wears a sportier design than the once locally assembled version, was launched last October 8.
Powering the subcompact sedan is 1.0-liter gasoline-powered engine paired with either an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) or a five-speed manual. This powertrain provides up to 99hp and 160Nm torque.
The all-turbocharged lineup of the all-new Nissan Almera comes in four variants, namely:
- EL Turbo MT: P728,000
- VE Turbo MT: P938,000
- VE Turbo CVT: P998,000
