Following the announcement posted over its official Facebook page, Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) has officially introduced the latest addition to its Terra roster.
Called the Nissan Terra Sport, the Japanese automotive manufacturer said that the newest variant of its midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV) was made to meet the taste of “adventurous heads of families who crave exploration and seek out thrilling experiences for them and their loved ones.”
Now being served as the nameplate’s top-of-the-line variation, the Nissan Terra Sport comes with black trims inside and out to boldly express its sleek appearance.
Outside, the portion that carries a gloss black finish are the Nissan Terra Sport’s front grille, bumper and fender garnishes, side mirrors, rear roof spoiler and door handles. Other black appointments are roof rail, rear underguard, and taillight accents. It also sits on black alloy wheels. This design can also be found on the Navara Pro 4X.
Inside the cabin, the vehicle is fitted with black leather and other dark-color trimmings that are found on the seats, steering wheel, center console, and gear shifter. Its eight-inch touchscreen display has Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity matched to an eight-speaker Bose setup.
"The Nissan Terra Sport is a perfect representation of Nissan's innovative and exciting DNA," Nissan Philippines President Juan Manuel Hoyos said. "With its rugged yet sleek styling, it perfectly embodies Nissan's commitment to providing customers with vehicles that are not only functional but also stylish and fun to drive."
Just like the other variants, the latest offering is still equipped with the 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission (with manual mode) that can produce 187 horsepower and 450Nm of torque.
Similar to the previous top-tier variation that is the Terra VL, the Terra Sport has a myriad of driver assistive technologies under the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite of feature namely intelligent around view monitor, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot warning, intelligent rear-view mirror, lane departure warning, intelligent forward warning with emergency braking, hill-start assist and hill descent control, as well as driver attention alert.
Offered in two 4x2 and 4x4 configurations, the Nissan Terra Sport comes in Aspen White Pearl, Galaxy, and the variant-exclusive Stealth Pearl Gray and Fiery Red. Back in 2019, Nissan Philippines offered the Fiery Red hue to the Terra VL — but only in a limited-run fashion.
Just like the lower variations, the new Terra Sport is packaged with Nissan’s five-year warranty on parts and labor.
Below are the pricing of all Nissan Terra variants starting today (additional P15,000 for Aspen Pearl White):
