Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) is set to hold the digital premiere of the Kicks e-Power on August 12. The Japanese automaker’s local arm said that the program will be done online — though its Youtube and Facebook pages.
The company made the announcement during a recent drive to Misibis Bay weeks after the soon-to-be-revealed model was tested at the Clark International Speedway.
Nissan Philippines President Juan Manuel Hoyos announced that customers may start reserving units (which will be offered in three variants: the EL [base trim> VE [mid-grade> and VL [top-of-the-line option>) at its dealerships starting today.
Below are the introductory prices of the Nissan Kicks e-Power:
All the forthcoming variations get the same e-Power technology, which is made up of the 349-volt EM47 AC Synchronous Motor with a 2.13-kilowatt lithium-ion battery and a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder double overhead cam, 12-valve naturally-aspirated engine. To be more specific, the internal combustion power mill is used to charge the battery.
Complementing the engine is the Nissan Kicks e-Power’s regenerative braking system, which helps in juicing up the battery cells too — thereby further improves the model’s efficiency.
The Japanese automaker’s incoming sport utility vehicle is a 4,300mm long, 1,960mm wide and 1,615mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,620mm and ground clearance of 180mm. The vehicle can haul as much as 835 liters with the second-row seats folded.
On the outside, the Nissan Kicks e-Power’s sports the new Nissan logo sitting in the middle of the blacked-out double V-motion grille. The car sits on 17-inch wheels.
Providing illumination are the headlamps, daytime running lights, fog lamps and taillights that are all on LED.
Inside, the seats of the Nissan Kicks e-Power are fitted with either genuine leather with double stitching or fabric with single stitching. The tilt/telescopic steering wheel can be adjusted manually.
The top-spec Nissan Kicks e-Power hosts intelligent mobility technologies such as around view monitor with moving object detection, intelligent forward collision warning system, emergency braking, driver attention alert, hill-start assist and e-pedal step.
The soon-to-be-launched SUV has a seven-inch gauge cluster that provides digital readings and an analog speedometer. Meanwhile, the eight-inch advanced touchscreen display audio system — which can be connected via Android Auto, Apple Carplay and Bluetooth — comes with six speakers
Moreover, the Nissan Kicks e-Power has the following safety and security features:
