Nissan Philippines is set to conduct a service campaign for the Kicks e-Power after supposed issues on the nameplate’s air-conditioning system.
In a statement, the Japanese automaker’s local arm said that the cooling issue encountered with the vehicle's air-conditioning system is caused by a software and component in the compressor. Despite that, Nissan guaranteed that it does not affect the aforementioned model’s drivability nor safety.
With that, a service campaign for the nameplate will be conducted by next month and “will make further announcements about the campaign details and reach out to affected customers directly.”
In addition, the company announced that due to partial readiness of the parts at the moment, Nissan will prioritize customers who have already encountered the issue.
Further, Nissan Philippines said that deliveries for customers who have already ordered the Kicks e-Power may be temporarily affected “and will receive their new vehicle within June 2023.”
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank our customers for their patience in this matter. Our customers are at the center of everything we do and promise to keep you as a top priority,” Nissan ended its statement.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power, which promotes sustainable mobility, will only turn one year in August this year.
Offered in three variants namely the EL (base variant) VE (mid-grade), and VL (top-of-the-line), the Nissan Kick e-POwer is propelled by a e-Power technology made up of the 349-volt EM47 AC Synchronous Motor with a 2.13-kilowatt lithium-ion battery and a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder double overhead cam, 12-valve naturally-aspirated engine. Based on UNR101 fuel efficiency testing, the vehicle can do as much as 25 kilometers per liter.
