Nissan Philippines is set to reveal the latest trim for its Terra sport utility vehicle (SUV) offering.
Based on the invite posted over its Facebook page, the midsize SUV will be called the Terra Sport. “A new and exciting Terra is on the rise. Join us live as we take you on a thrilling journey with the new Nissan Terra Sport on February 25,” the company said.
The reveal will be done live over the company's Facebook and Youtube pages.
Following the invite, the Japanese automaker’s local arm also teased a portion of the soon-to-be-launched model. As seen in the screenshot below, the vehicle would be sporting blacked-out rims, which seems to be similar to the Nissan Navara Pro 4X. Based on that observation, the vehicle could possibly wear darkened appointments as well — just like its pick-up truck counterpart.
Since the latest offering would be an additional variant to the lineup, the public can expect that the Nissan Terra Sport will still wear the potent 2.5-liter turbodiesel mill that can produce 187 horsepower and 450Nm of torque just like the other variants.
To this day, Nissan Philippines has yet to share the full details as well as the pricing of the vehicle. Moreso, will the Nissan Terra Sport serve as the nameplate’s top-of-the-line trim? This question will be answered — among others — on Saturday.
Back in 2021, Nissan Philippines’ then Assistant General Manager for Communications Dax Avenido told Carmudi Philippines that as of July that year, the Nissan Terra was third in ranking with a 12 percent market share.
