Nissan Starts the Decade with New N-TEC Edition
Nissan is entering the new decade with a bang, launching their new tech and design edition that will be implemented on their core models: MICRA, QASHQAI, and X-TRAIL.
The new N-TEC will elevate the said models, upgrading them with an exclusive, luxury look. The featured models will feature a unique, sleek black exterior stylings, and will include the Nissan Intelligent Mobility, a suite of advanced technology that allows Nissan’s passengers to experience a whole new way of driving.

The QASHQAI N-TEC features new all black 19 inch alloy wheels, darkened headlamps, and PVC and Alcantara® trimmed seats. The new, advanced ProPILOT system and Intelligent Park Assist have also been integrated, along with the NissanConnect infotainment system that includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Nissan QASHQAI comes standard with a 2.0 liter DOHC 4 Cylinder engine that makes 141 hp and 200 Nm of torque. There is a choice of either a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission. The Nissan QASHQAI seats up to seven passengers.

The X-TRAIL N-TEC features 18 inch black alloy wheels, a new dark chrome V-motion grille, and gloss black roof rails and mirror caps. There are also illuminated door sill protectors, the ProPILOT system, and Nissan’s Safety Shield Package. The X-TRAIL comes in three engine options: a 1.6 liter, 2.0 liter, or a 2.5 liter DOHC engine. A six-speed manual and an Xtronic CVT can be mated with these engines. The X-TRAIL can be configured to seat 5 or 7 people, depending on the variant.

The final addition to the N-TEC lineup is the MICRA N-TEC. The upgrades include sporty all black 17 inch wheels, gloss black details, privacy windows, and front fog lights. The NissanConnect infotainment system comes with a navigation system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as rear parking sensors. Intelligent Emergency Braking is also included to further assist the driver in potential emergency situations. The MICRA comes standard with a 1.2 liter DOHC 3 Cylinder Inline petrol engine that makes 77 hp and 104 Nm of torque. The Micra seats up to five adults.
The N-TEC variants of these vehicles will be available in Europe starting January 2020.
