Nissan’s Thailand arm has unveiled a refreshed version of the Almera compact sedan.
According to Nissan Thailand, the updated city car now wears the brand’s next-generation V-Motion design, a new Gray Sky Pearl finish, and gets a free three-year subscription to NissanConnect Services.
“Nissan Almera has been our top-selling model with over 240,000 units sold to date and a compact sedan for many Thai families for over a decade. Our customers love it for its impressive power, comfort, full functionality, and reliability, which fulfills people of every lifestyle. Passionate about uplifting our customers' experience, we enhance these strengths with an array of newness, such as fresh modern design, intelligent connectivity, and enhanced safety, to ensure that the New Nissan Almera delights customers even more,” Nissan Motor Thailand and Nissan ASEAN President Isao Sekiguchi was quoted saying.
The next-generation V-Motion design gives the upgraded Nissan Almera a new look. Gone is the solid chrome front grille, which was replaced by a bolder front end with plenty of horizontal lines that form a V-shaped fascia.
In addition, the Thai-spec Nissan Almera’s bonnet and A-pillars have been enhanced to intensify the V-Motion movement and mirror a strong sense of style and mobility experience.
Nissan Thailand also pointed out that the next-generation V-Motion design also bestows updates to the roof and the rear of the new Almera.
Complementing the new look is a new paint finish, named Gray Sky Pearl, which Nissan described as a design statement in and of itself.
Per the Japanese automotive brand, the new paint features colors that shift depending on the time of the day and from the angle that people look at the car.
Nissan also slapped the new Almera with a complimentary three-year subscription to NissanConnect Services — an application that allows Nissan owners to remotely control and communicate with their new Almera using their smartphones.
Through NissanConnect Services, Almera owners can do things like remote door lock, remote engine start, remote horn, and remote lights to help the driver find the car in a crowded parking. In addition, the My Car Finder feature helps drivers easily spot their vehicles through precise location features.
“The New Almera is part of our intention to make our customers’ journey more exciting and memorable, to thank them for their support, to make our customers more confident in us, to make them say, ‘Yes! Nissan,’ added Sekiguchi.
The new Nissan Almera is priced from Thailand Baht (THB) 549,000 (approximately P913,141).
