Good news to owners of Nissan performance classic cars: Nissan's NISMO Heritage Parts Program is now selling R33 and R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R parts in the market today.
Parts that are now available include electrical, exterior, mechanical, and exterior components of the R33 and R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R. This now expands the number of available Nissan Skyline GT-R model parts in the market today, with the R32 Skyline GT-R model the first in its lineup. It received a good following, which prompted NISMO to expand its lineup to R33 and R34 models this year.
The NISMO Heritage Parts Program, "a multicompany joint effort, aims to enhance support for owners of Nissan performance cars by continually studying the remanufacturing and resupplying process of discontinued Skyline GT-R parts, among other models." Currently, the number of available parts that the NISMO program is supplying has doubled to 160.
The Nissan Skyline GT-R is a sports car produced between 1969 and 1972 under the model code KPGC10. It garnered tremendous success in local Japanese touring car racing, and was revived in 1989 as the BNR32 ("R32") Skyline GT-R.
Nicknamed 'Godzilla' by the Australian motoring publication 'Wheels,' the R32 GT-R has won numerous races, including the Japanese JTCC Group A Series for four consecutive years. The R32 became the flagship of Nissan performance, and was named the "only true Japanese contribution in the line of supercars by Top Gear." It also has become notable figure in pop culture, appearing in movies like the 'Fast and the Furious' series and in different video games like 'Need for Speed' and 'Gran Turismo.'
