NLEX to add new expressway access in QC with C5 Northlink construction project
MANILA: The NLEX Corporation will soon provide motorists an additional access to the North Luzon Expressway from Quezon City once the construction of the C5 Northlink Section project is completed.

According to the tollway operator, the NLEX-C5 Northlink project extends 11.3 kilometers from Mindanao Avenue toll plaza to Quirino Highway through an all-weather elevated expressway crossing the Tullahan River in Quezon City.
Additionally, the project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion on major roads like Epifanio delos Santos Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue, Quirino Highway, and Mindanao Avenue, resulting in more efficient commutes and logistics operations.
Once finished, the aforementioned segment will be accessible to all types of vehicles — offering a seamless route to and from Novaliches in Quezon City.
“We are enthusiastic about this project as it contributes to our ongoing efforts to reduce traffic congestion on local roads in the metro. At MPTC, we believe that unhindered mobility fosters better opportunities for jobs, businesses, and economic growth, MPTC President and Chief Executive Officer Jose Ma. Lim said.
He also said that building an elevated expressway was aimed to reduce construction-related disruptions for local communities.
“We aim to finish this 2km road in 12 months. During construction, we will work closely with all stakeholders to minimize disruptions. Rest assured that MPTC and NLEX are committed to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and sustainability,” Lim noted.
